Denver Children’s Dentistry
At Egert-Kreider Dental, we emphasize prevention and dental education in a relaxed and comfortable environment. Our office creates a positive dental outlook as your child grows and develops. When pediatric dental problems are detected early, intervention can help avoid future dental problems.
When Should a Child First See the Dentist?
Our office, as well as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), recommends that your child visit the dentist by his or her first birthday or within 6-12 months of her or his first tooth eruption – whichever comes first. You can read more about the recommendations here.
We recommend children have a check-up every six months to in order to prevent cavities and allow us to spot possible dental problems early.

How to Create a Positive First Experience
At Egert-Kreider Dental, we are committed to making sure every child has the most positive dental experience possible. Our talented team wants your child to enjoy their dental visit and we want to help encourage a positive outlook about going to the dentist.
Egert-Kreider Dental and the AAPD recommend that you refrain from using words around your child that might cause unnecessary fear of dentistry, such as ‘shot’, ‘needle’, or ‘hurt’. Our office makes a practice of using pleasant words that convey the same message but are less frightening to your child.
